Subnautica 2 Cyclops
The deep-water mobile base. The only vehicle Reapers and Ghost Leviathans cannot grab. Silent Running + Decoy Launcher are not toys — they are the difference between Lost River exploration and a fiery wreck. Full build chain, all three depth modules, multiplayer crew layout.

Troubleshooting
- ! A Reaper is ramming my Cyclops — it won't leave.
Cause: Reapers cannot grab the Cyclops but they bash it relentlessly. Each ram = ~150 HP damage. Engine fires start at <30% HP.
- Switch to Silent Running immediately (button on bridge HUD). Power drain doubles but Reaper aggro fades in ~20 sec.
- If engines start to fire: stop the boat, run to engine room, use Fire Extinguisher.
- Drop a Decoy from the bridge — Reaper investigates the decoy, breaking pursuit.
- Dive vertically. Most Reapers stay above 250 m; Cyclops at 400 m+ is safe from them.
- ! I can't find Cyclops fragments — every wreck I check is empty.
Cause: Cyclops fragments are split across three different wreck types, and each wreck type spawns specific fragments only.
- Hull fragments: Aurora exterior + Mountain wrecks (200–300 m).
- Bridge fragments: Mushroom Forest wrecks (200 m).
- Engine fragments: Grand Reef wrecks (300 m, deep).
- You need 3 of EACH (9 total fragments) — the game tracks them separately.
- Use a Scanner Room with HUD chip to ping wrecks remotely.
- ! Cyclops won't fit through the Lost River entrance.
Cause: There are only specific entry points wide enough. Most Lost River caves are too narrow.
- Use the Tree Cove entrance at the SW Bulb Zone — widest opening.
- Approach head-on, slow. The Cyclops external lights show clearance.
- If hull contacts cave walls you take constant chip damage — exit and find another opening.
- Lava Zone descent: same — only the deepest Mountain Vent is wide enough.
- ! Multiplayer (Sub2 EA) — can a passenger drive while I work the engine?
Cause: Yes. Sub2 supports 4-player co-op; Cyclops can hold the whole team.
- Player 1: bridge / driving / silent-running toggle.
- Player 2: engine room / fire suppression / power-cell swap.
- Player 3: gunner — Prawn Suit deployed from bay for combat.
- Player 4: scanner room / external ping support.
- This is the most efficient deep-zone team setup.
